We are a family with a mission to eradicate poverty around the world. We operate on the principles of giving people the skills and support needed so they can be self-reliant and grow out of poverty.
Our guiding principle is straightforward: we empower people by offering them financial assistance through Qarz-e-Hasna (interest-free loans) and Zakat (alms) to establish and grow their small businesses. By providing micro-financing, guidance, and access to a supportive network, we aim to elevate individuals out of poverty and drive their progress forward.

Our approach centers on providing financial support for small business initiatives, coupled with ongoing mentorship to ensure effective growth. We recognize that the true key to poverty eradication lies in nurturing the right attitude, work ethic, and determination in people. Therefore, we dedicate ourselves to creating a supportive ecosystem that offers access to essential services such as health, education, vocational training, and legal aid.

— Our Story
Originally, Atiya-e-Azam was an informal collective initiated by the children of Atiya Begum, who combined their personal contributions and Zakat to aid those in need around them.
This endeavor persisted for a decade until May 2019, when it expanded to include additional members of the extended family. This marked the informal establishment of Atiya-e-Azam, starting with approximately 15 donors and a monthly donation pool of Rs. 60,000. By the blessings of Allah, this amount grew to over Rs. 200,000 per month within three years.
In 2022, Atiya-e-Azam’s commitment to philanthropy led to its formal registration as a Not-For-Profit corporation in Canada.
